Leslie Simpson - original paintings

Born in Yorkshire, Leslie Simpson is the creator of the “Whimsey Collies”.

A talented child, he was drawing in fine detail at the age of five when his classmates were still only on matchstick men.

In adulthood, he has worked as a cartoonist, commercial artist and a jobbing painter. He is also Director of The British Society of Painters.

In 2003 as the owner of Border Collies himself, he decided to have some fun and start painting “the worlds’ brainiest dog”.

These Leslie Simpson paintings have become very popular, and are guaranteed to make us smile at the antics of the “Whimsey Collies”
