Original paintings by Duncan Macgregor

A celebrated marine artist, Duncan MacGregor clearly enjoys anything to do with the sea.

Born in 1961, he grew up in the Midlands, far away from the coast, where he still spends a significant amount of time. He has sailed the Atlantic Ocean with his wife in their 34ft yacht, and naturally this has helped to inspire his passion for the sea.

Using acrylic applied with a palette knife in rich textures, he shows his distinctive if somewhat abstract style, and he has enjoyed considerable success displaying his work in both galleries and private collections.
