Anthony Orme was born in Manchester, England in 1945. Attending art college he specialised in the study of life drawing and still life.

It was apparent from a very early stage that he was naturally skilled. With great enthusiasm Anthony embarked on a life long crusade to strive for perfection whilst seeking to personalise his own style of painting.

Even a brief viewing of Anthonys work will demonstrate his attention to meticulous detail which is the result of many years of study and familiarity with the subject matter. A gentle blending of pastel produces depth of feeling that falls perfectly on the eye and never fails to stimulate the observer.

Anthonys paintings are hung in many private collections throughout Great Britain, as well as the U.S.A. Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

Anthony Orme is a member of the British Society of Painters, British Guilds of Artists in Print, and is a Fellow of the International Guild of Artists.
